Accessibility for services at St Peter's
Parking: A small car park is opposite the church on Wigston Road. Adkinson’s Funeral Directors generously permit worshippers to park in their car park on Sundays and some other services by arrangement.
Gluten-free wafers are available at communion services. If you need this, plese speak to a welcomer.
Wheelchair access: There is level access to both North and South doors. The path to the North door is much less steep. Please ask welcomers if you need a wider entry. Individual chairs can be removed to make a space for a wheelchair. The chancel is the only part of the building which requires a ramp (available on request).
Toilet facilities: A toilet (adapted for wheelchair and nappy changing) is available at the West end of the church.
Children’s provision: The children’s area is in the South aisle – including toys, books and other activities.
Sound: Wireless microphones are used in most services. An induction loop connects to hearing aids with a “T” setting.
Vision: A large screen can be deployed above the chancel step. Three TVs provide enhanced views for those sitting in the North and South aisles.
