The office of Churchwarden is an ancient one, dating from the early middle ages. As officers of the bishop and members of the Parochial Church Council, Churchwardens are charged with co-operating with the clergy and leading the laity in promoting the mission and ministry of the church in the local parish.

The churchwardens are elected by the people of Oadby every year at the Annual Meeting of Parishioners in April or May

Angela Pitches and Anne Dobson were elected as churchwardens for St Peter’s this year and will be sworn in by the Archdeacon in June. They can be contacted through the Parish Office by email or on 0116 2720080
